"First book in a new series has believable characters and wonderful Scotsmen."
Lily Stewart is planning the annual Highland Games at her
family's 200-year-old castle in North Carolina. Ian
MacKenzie is coming to film the festival for a movie. At
least, that's what the Stewarts think. He's actually there
to steal back the Brooch of Lorn, a priceless brooch
given to Robert Bruce upon his coronation as the King of
Scotland in 1306. Ian doesn't plan to fall for Lily, the
suspected thief - and she doesn't plan to fall for the
dashing Scotsman, even if he does make her heart beat
faster. OUT OF THE MIST, the first installment of a new trilogy by
Ms. Ross, is a great afternoon read. Ooh, those Scotsmen!
Her characters are believable, even the quirky family
members, and the setting is beautiful. I'm looking forward
to the remaining sister's stories - OUT OF THE BLUE and OUT
OF THE STORM.
