"Hilarious characters abound in this launch of Harlequin's new Flipside imprint."
As Francie Morelli runs from the church, she knows she's
hurt a lot of people, including her controlling mother. And
especially Matt Carson, the groom, the third man she's left
standing at the altar. But Francie doesn't love Matt, and
she has to stop letting her mother push her into marriage. When Mark Fielding walks into Baxter Promotions, Francie's
place of employment, she's eager to help him promote his
new book. She's very attracted to him, but isn't ready to
start a new personal relationship. When her mother meets
Mark, she decides he'll make a wonderful groom #4 and
begins pushing them together. Mark doesn't mind, since he's
very interested in Francie. Soon the relationship turns
romantic, and Mark proposes marriage. However, as wedding plans are being made, Mark confesses
that he's Matt's half-brother, and that he planned to woo,
bed and leave Francie at the altar to teach her a lesson.
Now, he's really fallen in love and wants to marry her.
Being very hurt and unable to trust him, Francie asks for
some time to think. After talking to her mother, of all
people, she's finally convinced that Mark is the only man
for her. This launch title of Harlequin's new Flipside line was a
very fun book to read. Some of the characters are
hilarious, adding a delightful balance to the seriousness
of others.
