REVIEW

"Second book in Liar's Club series has humor, passion and mystery."

Clara Simpson is a young widow living on the charity of her sister-in-law, but not for long. Her artistic talent has begun to pay off in the form of political cartoons anonymously delivered to the London Sun for publication under the pen name of Sir Thorogood. How unfortunate for Clara when someone comes forward posing as Thorogood. Although she can't publicly denounce him, she'll do all in her power to expose him. First, she must get him to notice her by making herself into the most outrageous of the simpering young misses he seems to admire. If only she doesn't fall in love with the glimpses of intelligence and sincerity that seem so at odds with his foppish ways.

Dalton Montmorency, Lord Etheridge and Crown spy, may have no other choice than to pose as the long-elusive Thorogood, but he certainly didn't bargain on looking like the most excessive of theatrical fops. Now he must continue this distasteful persona in order to carry out his mission. For the past year, Thorogood has caused ridicule of Englishmen in powerful places, not to mention putting a serious drain on the credibility of the British government during wartime. Dalton vows that Thorogood will be stopped, but the most difficult job might prove to be keeping the silly, empty-headed, yet admittedly beautiful, Clara at bay.

Don't miss this second book of the Liar's Club series. With humor, passion and mystery, it's absolutely delightful in every way! I can't wait for the next one.
