"Moving, evocative story will touch your heart."
By the age of 22, English beauty Rosamund Bolton has buried
three husbands. She's now going to live her life the way
she chooses. Refusing the marriage proposal of her arrogant
neighbor, Logan Hepburn, she travels to Scotland at the
request of Queen Margaret. Soon she meets the Earl of
Glenkirk, Patrick Leslie. They fall deeply in love and
begin a passionate affair, knowing they cannot marry, but
cherishing their time together. Before Patrick and Rosamund leave on a diplomatic mission
for King James, Logan arrives at court. Seeing the passion
and love Patrick and Rosamund share, Logan agrees to marry
another. Though he'll never love his new bride, he will
respect her. When Patrick is lost to Rosamund, she's devastated. She
then learns that Logan has lost his wife and second child.
She also sees him with clearer eyes; that although he
always seemed arrogant and assuming, he did truly love her.
Logan is sure Rosamund will never love him like she did
Patrick, but he learns otherwise. This story never went in the direction I thought it would.
I needed a box of tissue on several occasions. And the
ending was a complete surprise. Great story!
