"The first in a fabulous trilogy!"

This is the first in a trilogy called Some Like It Hot by Jamie Denton and if the this story is any indication of how this trilogy is going to go, then it's definitely a winner! The set up is these are the stories of three brothers who work for the same emergency station. One is an EMT, one is an arson investigator and one is a firefighter.

This first book is about Cale Perry, the EMT. He's been called to a fire in a paint warehouse where a woman is found knocked unconscious and suffering from smoke inhalation. When she comes to, she finds that she has level III amnesia but she thinks her name is Maggie. Cale is attracted to her but he is always taking in strays so he tells her that she can stay with him until her memory comes back.

Maggie keeps getting the mysterious flashbacks that make no sense. She finds that she's proficient on the Internet and can type like nobody's business. What can this all mean? Meanwhile Cale becomes more and more attracted to Maggie. What will he do when she gets her memory back and decides to leave? Maggie fights her attraction to Cale as long as she can. He, his family and his animals just draw her closer and closer. She has a feeling of being alone in her life but until her memory returns, how can she know for sure?

This is definitely a one sitting read. Intriguing is the word that comes to my mind the farther I read into this book. There were a few twists and turns that were totally unexpected and did nothing but enhance my total enjoyment. I cannot wait to read Ben and Drew's stories. I know they will be equally as good as Cale's was.
