"A fast read with plenty of emotion."
Tracy LeDeaux is a woman in crisis. She has had a difficult
life filled with the mental
abuse of her manipulative mother. She is trying to break
away from her mother's
destructive influence, but her self esteem is so low that
she just doesn't believe she can
ever overcome her past.
When she accidentally wrecks rancher Ty Cameron's car, and
he insists she repay him by
working at his ranch, she suspects he is only trying to get
back at her for her past
misdeeds in regards to his friends, and that he will be
looking for ways to belittle her. At
first she refuses to work for him, but then she comes to
the
realization that this may very
well be her last opportunity to prove to herself and others
that she has value and can
accomplish something, so she accepts his terms of repayment. THE MAN SHE'LL MARRY is a compact little book, a fast
read,
that has plenty of
emotion. It is told mainly from Tracy's point of view, and
although we only witness Ty's
thoughts occasionally, it is enough of a view inside his
head for us to know that he is a
wonderful, compassionate man. Tracy's struggle against the
demons of her past and her
attempts to become a better person are moving and well
presented. This book has almost
no sensuality, just a few tender kisses so I think it would
also be a good choice for the
younger romance reader. This is a sequel to Ms. Fox's WILD AT HEART, which I have
not read, but is now on my
TBF (to be found) list.
