REVIEW

"This one kept me guessing until the end"

Sarah and her mother had suffered at the hands of the people in Marmet, Maine. Sarah's father was once a respected banker but one day their world came crashing down around them. Her father was accused of stealing from the bank he worked for and disappeared, never to be heard from again. After her father's betrayal, her mother suffered and slowly died. After the funeral Sarah left with one of her mother's friends to go live in New Orleans. She's never been back once and has never heard from her father.

Twenty years later, her father's body is discovered. It turns out that he may never have left. After all these years and all of the suffering Sarah has gone through she wants some answers. When they were growing up, Sarah had a crush on Tony DeMarco, the bad boy in town. Now he is her ally in finding the truth about her father. Can she trust Tony and her growing feelings for him? Will she be able to find the truth out about her father? Will the truth cause more harm than good?

This was a quick read. It kept me guessing till the end. The characters were intelligent and their actions rang true. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a suspenseful romance novel.
