"A Successful Matchmaking Grandfather"
A Successful Matchmaking Grandfather Harry Sander's grandfather, Joe Jacobsen, is a matchmaker
extraordinaire. Several of his previous match making
schemes had come to fruition so he is on a roll; he
decides Harry needs a wife and who is more perfect than
Megan MacGregor. Harry likes women and has no intention of marrying any
time soon. Little does he know that his grandfather is up
to his old tricks! When his grandfather informs him that
he is starting a new program in the company and that Harry
will be a mentor for Megan, he rebels. He never had
gotten along with Megan and wants no part of being her
mentor but with the vice-presidency carrot hanging over
his head, he agrees to take her on. Megan is outraged that she is to have Harry as her mentor;
she has never liked the man who she believes only got the
job because of being the grandson of the CEO. She is an
intelligent business woman taking care of her mother who
is inflicted with multiple sclerosis and hoping to move up
in the company. She has no choice but to accept her new
mentor. Harry and Megan fight but find themselves very attracted
to each other and discover that they actually work very
well together. Now, if they can only keep their hands
off of each other.... THE PLAYBOY'S PROTEGEE is a light-hearted story of two
people trying to make good career moves little realizing
that they are being manipulated by matchmaker, Joe
Jacobson, who is so successful with his matchmaking skills
that he is unerringly able to find the right couple that
belong together. After all hasn't he proven that in
Michele Dunaway's previous books? I particularly enjoyed
the emails between Grandpa Joe and his son, Andrew
(Harry's father). THE PLAYBOY'S PROTEGEE is an enjoyable,
one sit read for a summer afternoon. It flows well and is
an enjoyable read.
