REVIEW

"Two hilarious intertwined stories!"

Both of these Duet stories are by Colleen Collins and are interconnected in the most interesting kind of way. She has a way of taking the most bizarre circumstances and making them absolutely hilarious!

Let It Bree tells us the story of Bree Brown. Her mother named her after the French cheese but didn't know how to spell it. Bree shows prize bulls and thinks her bull Valentine Bovine is a winner through and through. She even has a contract for him if he wins the contest. He will live a life of luxury as a stud and Bree can finally leave the little town she was born and raised in so she can see the world. She can't believe that someone tries to steal her bull after the show. Kirk Dunmore finds Bree on the side of the road with Val. She tells him they need a ride and since he has a huge new van courtesy of his future mother-in-law, he feels sorry for her and tells her he will give her a ride. Thus ensues the chase from you know where trying to get Bree back home and Kirk to his wedding on time. They don't count on falling in love on the way.

Can't Buy Me Louie is the story of Kirk's ex- fiancé Alicia Hansen and bad guy Louie Ragazzi running off to Key West. Louie is reluctant but Alicia holds all the cards and since she put up his bail to get him out of jail, she feels like he owes her big time. All he thinks is she's a Bon-Bon and a big headache but once they get to the Keys and Louie finds out that a former associate, Rings, is after him all he can think about is protecting his little Bon-Bon. He even gives up his turquoise boots for 'shudder' flip-flops. Could this be true love?

These two stories were an absolute joy to read. I know I am one who will mourn the demise of the Duets line. I'm hoping Colleen Collins will find a way to keep writing her hilarious stories!!
