REVIEW

"Exciting romantic suspense"

Celebrating their fortieth wedding anniversary, Dr. Sam and Diana Lynsky went sailing on their yacht, but Diana vanished while allegedly taking a nap. Three months have passed with no trace of Diana and everyone suspects Sam committed a homicide.

Journalist Scott Campbell seeks the truth as to what happened to Diana. He makes inquiries into family relationships though one of the twin daughters of the couple despises what he is doing to her loved ones and her childhood memories off the California coast. Still Ava wonders about the tragedy while fearing the dirt Scott will dig up about her family. On the other hand she finds herself more and more dreaming of the investigative journalist becoming part of her family. Scott feels the same way, but has his own fears.

This is an exciting romantic suspense starring two delightful lead protagonists who hide truths behind facades until love unmasks both of them. The story line is fast- paced, but becomes at times difficult to follow due to a myriad of subplots impacting various key players such as an accident to Ava's father yet that is critical and ties back to the theme. If readers remain focused, they will complete an entertaining tale.

Summary

Three months ago, Sam and Diana Lynsky boarded their twenty-six-foot yacht and set out for a sail to mark their fortieth anniversary. Diana never returned. Sam told the sheriff that he'd retired to the cabin for a nap, and when he awoke, Diana had vanished...

Journalist Scott Campbell is fascinated by Catalina Island's biggest story. Had Diana fallen overboard? Had she been unhappy enough to swim away from the yacht, or, even worse, had she decided to end her life? And finally the most chilling scenario of all. Had Dr. Sam Lynsky—an impatient, difficult man—somehow gotten rid of his wife?

Much as Ava Lynsky wants to know what happened to her mother, she's afraid of what Scott may find out. Unlike her twin, who has no reservations about digging up family skeletons.

Finally Ava accepts the fact that nothing in her past is exactly the way she remembers. But her future—with Scott—promises to be everything she's dreamed of.
