"Authenticity, conflict and humor all at once."
Aidan is scared. A police officer in jail is not safe, and
he doesn't even know why he was arrested. The day doesn't
get any better when he is introduced to his buttoned-down
slick attorney, Grace. They cut at each other immediately.
Grace does not believe he is innocent, but she is brilliant-
-wait until you see how she gets him out of jail the first
night. Despite the clash of their personalities, they have
to work together. This is Grace's first big case but Aidan
can't afford expensive help, so he helps with the
investigation. The dialogue between Grace and Aidan reminds me of a
Hepburn and Tracy movie--quick, real, and hilarious. There
are running gags throughout the whole story that are great
touchstones, like Grace's stinginess, which is used on many
levels to draw us deeper into what drives the characters. I
love Ms. Bird's use of seemingly small plots points to add
authenticity, conflict, and humour all at once, such as
using public transportation in a large city and a
policeman's inability to pay for expensive legal counsel.
You will love these characters and their verbal tangos. I
highly recommend this book. SEXUAL CONTENT: Sensual. Reviewed by Karen Williston for Sensual Romance.

SummaryThis was the case that could make or break Grace
Simkanian's career as a defense attorney, but her client,
Aidan McKenna, wasn't making it easy for her. The charming

emotions that were anything but professional. Grace was
determined to win this case, but would she lose her heart
in the process?
Framed for extortion and set on proving his innocence,
Aidan was forced to depend on the sleek, sophisticated
Grace to help him find out who was behind the frame-up. His
lady lawyer was pure temptation, and he yearned to set her

ultimately be Aidan's downfall?
