"Not your ordinary vampire."
Domini Lancer is a security expert and bodyguard employed
at Lancer Services by her grandfather. Recently she has
been experiencing strange dreams and compulsions- some of
which involve the new employee, Alec Reynard. When she and
Alec are assigned the job of protecting an old friend of
hers, now a famous celebrity, from a stalker- she is
attracted to Alec in spite of the danger they find
themselves facing. Reynard's new job has brought him something unexpected-
the woman he was destined to claim. But before he can do
so, he has to protect her both from outside danger and from
the danger he poses to her. It is important that he get
himself under control and not give in to the baser
instincts of the vampire before he makes her his. I BURN FOR YOU is an interesting twist on the vampire
story. Alec has found a way to function in the world of
humans, even in daylight, but the process takes a terrible
physical toll. I found the book quite interesting, but
frustrating in that I wanted more explanations as to the
reasons why it was so important for Alec to live in the
world of humans. Other background information was rather
vague as well, but I think the reader who can accept the
story at face value will enjoy this tale.
