On the ancient world of Kegin, a desperate plan is coming to fruition. Alien genes seeded in Earth females have produced a mate capable of saving their world. Now they just have to bring their princess home.

Prince Jole Hi had a human mother. His mother tried to teach him all the things he would need to know to make his Earth mate more at home on Kegin. Jole had learned English, all about Earth culture, and had tried to get anything that would make his mate want to stay on his planet. By bringing her prized possessions through the portal, he hoped to please his future wife. Jole had vowed at an early age to treat his wife as a full Kegin wife, not as his father had treated his mother.

Susan Braeden is Jole's chosen mate. She had always thought she was sterile, but it was because she is part alien. Only someone from Kegin is capable of helping her conceive.

Upon meeting Jole, Susan is attracted to his gentleness and his desire for her comfort. But when Jole's father finds out that the couple has not mated yet, the king gives Jole four months to get Susan pregnant or he will give Susan to his other son Mik. Mik has always been the King's favorite son. Mik is known for his cruelty to earth women. Mik wants Susan and will stop at nothing to claim her as his mate.

Alex Braeden, Susan's cousin, had been incarcerated as an alien ever since her disappearance. Lyssa Carpenter has also been taken into custody as a crossbreed. The scientists decide to put the two of them together to see what would happen. It is only his ability to help Lyssa's pain, that convinces Alex he might be a little different than humans.

Can Jole and Susan get pregnant before time is up? Can Susan save Alex and Lyssa before it's too late? What of love, will both couples find it?

LAST CHANCE FOR LOVE is the second book in a series written by Brenna Lyons. The first book,SCHENTE NIGHT, helps you understand this story, but you don't have to read it first in order to enjoy LAST CHANCE FOR LOVE. The story comes with a calendar and glossary for you to understand the new terms. Ms. Lyons has created three stories in one, but they are tightly interwoven. The first is Jole and Susan's story, the second is about Alex and Lyssa, and the third is about Jole's mother. All the characters are well developed and believable. They captured my heart and had me yearning for the next installment of Ms Lyons's stories. Her books are definitely on my keeper shelf.

Summary
