"...even a Queen deserves love"
Well this is the first of the Seraphine Chronicles that I
have read. OH BOY, have I been missing out. I am going to
have to go back and read all of the others after reading
this short story. To'en, the Overseer, knows that Anistana, Queen of the
Faeries, is his soul mate. But Anistana is stubborn and
the safety of her land rests on her shoulders. The Fae
Killer is killing faeries and Anistana feels it is her job
to stop him. To'en is very persuasive with his magic
touches and before Anistana knows it, her body is screaming
for To'en. Anistana has a battle going on inside of her
too, between love and duty. Will she ignore her duty to
her land to follow the love in her heart for To'en? I am amazed that so many of Cheyenne McCray's stories have
slipped past me. This was and excellent written quickie
that has me wanting more. I could feel the sexual vibes
and magic bounce right off the page. I have found a new
author that I know I am going to love reading.

SummaryCapricious, arrogant, and unabashedly sexual, Anistana has
known many men. As Queen of Faerie, she believes only in
power of station and in her magic. When her attempts fail
at uniting her Realm with other kingdoms, she is convinced
there is no man worthy of her attention, and certainly no
man who is her equal.
To'en is a powerful Overseer, a shape-shifting guardian
whose life spans centuries. He has enjoyed the pleasures of
countless women, but has yet to find his heartmate...until
the wickedly beguiling and passionate Faerie Queen crosses
his path.
Sexual Content: NC-17. Genre: fantasy.
