"Witty, sexy story with lots of mystery and intrigue."
Laura Shore left Cape Cod, and all the painful memories of
a violent childhood, to build a new life in Oregon. Now
she's back home to see her father buried and all the Shore
scandals along with him. But her younger sister, Corinne,
yearns to re-ignite the family business. She talks Laura
and their wanderer brother, Snack, into staying for just
one month to bring the nursery and gardens back to life
before Founders Weekend. Bank president Kendall Barclay is tall, handsome and
single. At 14, he saved Laura from town bullies. But she
was from the wrong side of the tracks, and his parents
packed him off to boarding school. When Ken sees her for
the first time in years, he falls head-over-heals for this
sassy, sophisticated Laura Shore. His seduction is subtle.
He steps in to save the nursery like a white knight, but
Laura wonders if his motives are pure. After all, the
nursery sits on prime seashore real estate. I enjoyed this savvy, sexy novel with its twists and turns.
The dialog is natural and witty and the characters jump off
the page. If you like a good mystery, with murder, revenge,
insanity and tantalizing sexual play, you'll enjoy this
book.
