REVIEW

"Deeply emotional, heartwarming romance."

By day, Blue Calhoun, a physician with a passion for healing, runs a successful Nob Hill medical practice. By night, he's devoted to the San Francisco Mission Rescue League, famous throughout the city for bringing hope to hopeless cases. Blue is also raising his son alone after a tragedy 10 years earlier left him unable to think of ever loving again. That is until a gunshot victim by the name of Isabel Fish-Wooten holds a pistol to his heart, forcing him to save her life.

Isabel, the adventurer, has spent most of her life on the run. Now she meets this handsome doctor, whose physical appeal is surpassed only by his gentleness. Her heart is touched by this remarkable man, and she finds herself wanting to stay put for awhile.

Reluctantly, Blue is drawn to Isabel's strength and zest for life. She awakens feelings he's long suppressed and brings laughter, hope and light into his lonely world. Soon friendship turns into passion and passion becomes love. That love is tested by San Francisco society from ballrooms to the bowels of the waterfront. To be together, Blue and Isabel fight their secrets from the past and heal each other's wounds.

A SUMMER AFFAIR is a beautifully written, deeply touching and heartwarming story filled with human emotion. Don't miss it!
