"True love lands in this merman's lap - literally!"
Dr. Elanna Richfield finds herself in a predicament. She's
one of the passengers on a hijacked plane. Elanna knows that
the life of her young charge is more important than her own,
despite Elanna's stellar contributions toward the cure for
cancer. So Elanna offers herself as a hostage in exchange
and finds herself tossed out of the small passenger plane
into the Pacific Ocean. Storm, a powerful Merman healer, is enjoying a day off to
himself. He's basking in the warm sun and water when it hits
him. Or rather, she hits him. Storm doesn't know why the
humans threw away this lovely female, but he feels honor
bound to rescue her and heal her. She's like no one he's
ever seen before, with her warm brown complexion and dark
curly hair. Elanna can't believe she's still alive and in the company of
a non-human, no less! She may not have all of her memories,
but she has her fighting spirit. No overgrown fish is going
to tell her what to do! Storm has never been treated like
this in his life. Others may fear and respect him, but
Elanna treats him as a normal person, er, merman. He finds
her refreshing and is fascinated by this woman who calls him
"Fish Boy". Storm is embroiled in a trap his queen has prepared. He
doesn't want to be the queen's mate, but he must have a mate
of his own first. Maybe Elanna is the solution to his
problem. Surely he can get her to agree to pose as his
intended mate. But he never expects to fall in love with the
human. What will happen when Elanna regains her full memory? Will
Storm be able to let her go? And what was in that strange
powder she accidentally ingested? Will merpeople medicines
help or hurt her? And if she does return to mankind, will
Elanna be revered, reviled, or locked away? Infused with Ms. Burke's trademark humor, SEASCAPE is a
fast, fun read. You'll find yourself believing in merpeople
and wanting one to call your own. You may be in luck as the
possibility for a sequel is hinted at. I would love to see
if some of the other merfolk seek out mates with legs. Just
remember, don't ever piss Storm off! Sensuality: Rated NC-17 by the publisher. Explicit sex;
sexually explicit scenes: 3.

SummaryHow sexy can a woman be after being on a hijacked plane and
tossed into the deep blue sea? Very, according to the
merman she lands on! Storm was minding his business,
sunning in the sea, doing what mer folk do on vacation when
suddenly love falls onto his lap. Literally.
Dr. Elanna Richfield never thought she would see the light
of another day. Especially from several fathoms below. But
Storm opened up a world she had never seen, a world filled
with magical elemental creatures, of unending beauty and
mystery.
A world filled with political intrigue and danger.
Now if she can survive mystical transformations, jealous
queens, and the dictates of a ruling council, she may very
well discover true passion and desire, within her Seascape.
Sexual Content: NC-17. Genre: Paranormal.
