"Love and Commitment"
Andie Griffith heads the Intensive Care Unit of the local
hospital, an intelligent nurse who gives everything to her
patients. She lives out in the country in a peaceful
setting with her best friend, her Great Dane dog, Jerome.
She has been looking forward to buying the adjoining
property, hoping the price will go down so is dismayed when
it is sold to retired homicide detective, Max Daniels. Max is a six foot six hunk. He is bowled over when he
meets Andie and disappointed when she shows no interest in
him. He isn't used to having a woman say no but he is one
determined fellow and although Andie doesn't seem to be
interested, that is just her smoke screen. Actually, she
is enthralled with her handsome neighbor but determined to
keep him at a distance. The more Max gets to know Andie,
the more his interest escalates to fascination and then to
love. Lurking in the background is stalker Everett Pickett who is
waiting for his uncle to die; he is angry with the nurses
in ICU that insist on keeping him alive. TRESPASS OF THE HEART is basically a romance with just a
little suspense thrown into the mix. Both Max and Andie
are strong characters who gradually fall in love and have
a very steamy affair. Secrets from Andie's past won't
allow her to have a more serious relationship but Max is
patient, loving, very sexy and determined to have Andie for
his own and he works to build her trust in him. The
secondary characters, their friends from the hospital and
the police department, all help move the story along. The
stalker plays a small role; love and commitment play a
larger role making TRESPASS OF THE HEART by Samantha Gail
an imminently satisfactory read.
