"The sequel to NOBLE INTENTIONS"
This is the long awaited sequel to NOBLE INTENTIONS
and is Charlotte's story. Charlotte ran away with an
Italian man years before and now she's back ready to take
her place in the Ton. The problem is the Ton isn't ready to
forgive her for her indiscretion years before even though
she's now a widow. Charlotte decides that she must remarry
an appropriate man and all will be well so she starts
looking around for the appropriate husband for her. Alasdair (Dare) McGregor, Lord Carlisle, had met
Charlotte five years before and thought she was a silly
insipid debutante but he was intrigued with her. Then she
ran off with the Italian and he forgot about her especially
when he had to take care of his inherited estates and huge
debts that he also inherited. Now Charlotte is back and has decided that Dare is
the perfect man for her. She even gets her best friend
Caroline and her cousin and Gillian's servants in on the
scheme to get her wed to Dare. The biggest problem is Dare
will have no part of it so Charlotte's schemes get wilder
and wilder. To some this may seem a silly book with a silly
heroine but I simply relished this tale. Charlotte may
have gotten on my nerves at first but she was a wonderful
heroine when she finally decided to straighten up and of
course, Dare was the perfect hero. I enjoyed this one every
bit as much as I did NOBLE INTENTIONS and I hope that Katie
MacAlister will keep writing these silly heroines that only
she can write! Her books are always good for great big
belly laughs.

SummaryA poor widow, Lady Charlotte Collins returns to England
eager to take her place in the ton, only to find herself
shunned by all. Her one choice is to marry a groom with
wealth, a title, and good looks, but Alasdair McGregor
cruelly refuses to be the answer to her problems. In fact,
she is forced by Dare's obstinacy to take extreme action—
the faulty codpiece that leads to this marriage, the
wedding that is literally a circus. But nothing can stand
between Charlotte and what she wants most: the love of her
husband.
