REVIEW

"Exciting romantic suspense with a great plot."

Maggie Chantel is tired of running. With painful, frightening memories of a sister who's gone, a husband who betrayed her and a madman who tried to rape her, all she wants is to be left alone to forget. The peaceful town of Blanchefleur, on the shores of Lake Michigan, seems to be the perfect place to stop running. Maggie wants to establish a clientele as a personal trainer and someday open her own business. It will be a long time before she trusts anyone again, but her handsome neighbor, Nick Alessandro, seems to have other ideas. Nick has been living in his own private hell, but somehow this beautiful, secretive woman peers inside of him and tangles with his darkness. Together they fight the demons they cannot change.

Brent Templeton is determined that Maggie never love again. She rebuffed his advances, so he took her sister instead. Maggie ruined his life, took his pride, his home and prestige. He will find her, and when he does, Maggie's death will be very slow and painful.

Maggie's greatest nightmare finds her hiding place, so she must leave the one man who's bringing her back to life. Nick is determined not to lose the only person who can make his life whole again. The only trouble is, he must find the killer before the killer gets to Maggie.

This is an exciting romantic suspense thriller with enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page is turned. The plot is intricate, the story moving and the main characters intelligent and passionate. If you liked the movie Sleeping With the Enemy, you'll love WITH HER LAST BREATH. Don't miss this powerful, heart-stopping story.

Summary

Maggie Chantel is running from memories too painful -- and frightening -- to acknowledge. And the small, peaceful town of Blanchefleur on the shores of Lake Michigan is where her running stops. Maggie just wants to be left alone to forget, but her new neighbor Nick Alessandro is paying her far too much attention. A survivor of soul-shattering tragedy, Nick is fascinated by this beautiful, secretive woman -- an interest that is slowly turning from attraction to love.

But someone waiting in the shadows is determined that Maggie will love no one ever again. The nightmare she was escaping has found her hiding place, and people in the sleepy Michigan community are starting to die. Maggie knows what her hunter is capable of, and now she must leave behind the man who was bringing her back to life, for his own safety. Nick is determined never to lose the only person who can make his world whole again. And he knows he has to find the killer -- before the killer gets to Maggie.
