"Well-written, lighthearted romantic comedy."
Dumped for a younger woman, divorcee Anne Marie Jackson
sets off to Italy looking for fun, sun and romance, and to
escape attending her ex-husband's wedding. Anne Marie makes
plans to meet her high school heartthrob, Giovanni. Meanwhile, Giovanni has been a busy boy since school,
mostly trying to evade the law. Now a jewel thief, Giovanni
has made an unsuspecting Anne Marie part of his new score. Policeman Marco Moretti vows to bring Giovanni to justice,
for personal, as well as professional, reasons. Those
reasons become all the more personal when Marco, not
Giovanni, meets Anne Marie in Italy. Believing her an
accomplice, Marco refuses to let the attractive American
out of his sight. As Giovanni's scheme begins to heat up,
so does the attraction between Marco and Anne Marie. The
lovers lose sight of their original goals even as the
nefarious plans of others come together to threaten their
future happiness. Lighthearted, well-written and just plain fun, this book is
THE feel-good, romantic comedy, caper romance for July. If
you try one new author this summer, make sure it's Carol
Grace.
