"Endearing characters and wonderful story."
Only one thing could have brought Nicholas Proffit,
proverbial bad boy, back to Harmony, Georgia, a town he
loathes - Jenna's letter. A freelance photographer, the
letter took two years to catch up with him. When he didn't
die from that fever, he thought it was an omen he should
come back. Only his brother's death would have brought him
back sooner, if he'd known. But why are Jenna and the boys
living on this side of town? No upscale Southern family
lives on this side of town. His brother, Craig, was a
hotshot in a law firm. Just what was going on? As long as
he's here, he may as well find out. Jenna Proffit survived the scandal and would do anything to
protect her two boys. She'd loved her husband, who died of
a brain aneurysm, and she knew he hadn't taken the money
he'd been accused of stealing. Now, here's Nicholas. She
knew Nick always felt he wasn't good enough. Of course, his
dad didn't do anything to make him feel any differently.
Nick's back in Harmony with that outrageous sex appeal he
always had. Could he really help her get to the bottom of
things? If so, what price would she pay? Ms. Steffen weaves a great story of love and loyalty. All
the women who live in Jenna's apartment house at 317 BEULAH
STREET have stories that blend with Nick and Jenna's. The
characters are wonderful and heartwarming. You'll love this
endearing story.
