"A Different Sort of Afterlife"

Sally Ann has loved Rick for years. Even before she died, she loved him. After she died, she begged to be his Guardian Angel, and won. There were rules she had to follow -- never been seen, never interfere -- but she got to watch over him. But new angels can still feel human emotions and being close to Rick was harder after her death than it had ever been when she was alive.

Keeping her existence from Rick is far from easy but Sally Ann has more than just mortal emotions to contend with. Something big and dark is brewing -- something that even those in Authority keep secrets about. With the help of her fellow angel, John, Sally Ann sets out to find the answers. Who are the mysterious black-cloaked beings who haunt the cemetery? What does she have to do with the mysteries that surround her? Who is the girl she keeps seeing?

John's help is invaluable, both in dealing with her own grief cycle as she realizes that Rick is moving on, and in research, but John has dark secrets of his own -- secrets that may rattle the foundations of heaven itself -- or destroy Sally Ann.

Hints of darkness pervade this angelically flavored romantic adventure. Ancient mysteries, ghosts and dark shadow-creatures complete the eerie, otherworldly atmosphere. While the novel is not full of Armageddon-type suspense, BETWEEN EARTH AND ETERNITY is still a fast- moving adventure three realms wide. The romance between Sally Ann and John and the lingering feelings that Sally Ann retains toward Rick are all carefully portrayed. The shadows that linger in the wings are deceptive, however, being in truth nothing more than just that. BETWEEN EARTH AND ETERNITY is a sweet exploration into what may just happen after mortal death.

Sensuality Level: Though this book has been rated R by the publisher, it contains no explicit sex scenes.

Summary

Sally Ann spent most of her life loving Rick. When she died, she asked and received permission to act as his gardian angel. She soon becomes disappointed when being close to him isn't what she expected it to be. Lonely and disillusioned, she breaks all the angel rules as she tries to protect Rick from malevolent forces. John is sent by the head angel to keep watch over Sally Ann. A race of angels called The Ancients believe she's the chosen one who can defeat the devil's right-hand angel. John's love for Sally Ann keeps getting in the way of his duty. He's afraid The Ancients will ask for more than he can allow. A haunted graveyard, black-hooded demons and an eccentric old lady bring them all together in a house built for Halloween, where a battle for one man's soul could cost John and Sally Ann their own.
