"An engaging story that kept me riveted....."
Sheriff Bacon and his deputy, find a woman wandering in
the woods. A phone call tips the lawmen to an area in the
back country where an explosion was to have taken place.
No evidence is found but the young lady, soon called
Honey, is worse for wear and suffering a bout of amnesia.
Days later, Kirk Stanton identifies her as Renate, his
long lost daughter. Mere days after he takes her home,
everyone that had anything to do with her in the sleepy
town, winds up dead. Across the country, Hector Garcia is struggling to put the
pieces of his life back together. A set up from day one,
he sets out to find out who is behind his character
assassination. Two lives, seemingly on separate paths, meet and Renate
and Hector, with the help of friends, begin to unravel the
web of lies and deceit they both find themselves paralyzed
in. Not everyone is who they claim and once Renate's
memories return, the truth sets them free. They realize
no once can be trusted, except each other and the budding
love between them can prevail only after their enemies
have met their fate. Laurence Hutner writes a gripping tale of deception and
greed. Multifarious characterizations, an intricate plot
and suspense that propelled the story forward made this
story impossible to put down. Hutner can be likened to
Clancy or Ludlum any day. I found myself completely
engrossed in the riveting words of this first time
author. A definite must read.
