"Enter the womderful world of Kegin"
Susan was brought through the portal in the middle of the
night to be the bride of Jole, son of the ruling family on
Kegin. Jole tells Susan she was brought because his
mother was an Earthling as well. Susan tried to teach
Jole how to treat an Earth woman. After Jole learns his
lessons, he proceeds to court Susan. Susan finds out
unless she is carrying a child by the time four months are
up she will be given to Mik, Jole's brother. This is very
upsetting to her. Susan becomes frantic when she believes she's still not
pregnant. Susah is so worried that she will be given to
Mik, she starts crying. Jole asked Susan questions and
realizes that she really is pregnant. When Jole goes to a meeting with his father, Mik attacks
the palace and kidnaps Susan. He wants her as his mate.
Luckily the Keen's laws are that the males can't force the
females. Susan has to state that Mik is welcome into her
bed. Susan is in love with Jole and doesn't want anything
to do with Mik. Then Susan starts suffering and won't let
Mik cure her. He's afraid she will die and doesn't know
what to do. The world of Kegin was fascinating to me. It's a world
where men are the strong dominant type, the typical alpha
male. Yet the woman is allowed to refuse the man sexual
favors if she so desires. I enjoyed the slow gentle love
that blossomed between Jole and Susan. It was interesting
to learn about the differences in mating and procreation
compared to Earth. I liked the fact that the woman was
coddled and pampered when she became pregnant. Who
wouldn't enjoy that? In spite of this male dominated world
it is a female that saves them and changes the way they
look at and go about getting married. I hope there are
many more stories of the Kegin world to come!

SummarySusan Braedan has no idea when she goes to bed one spring
night that she will never see her home on Earth again.
Susan is not a normal woman. She is not quite Human, not
Human enough to reproduce with Human men. Susan is the last
desperate attempt to save a dying world, and she has been
chosen as Cross-Mate to Prince Jole. Raised by his Cross-
Mate mother, Jole knows better than any man on Kegin how an
Earth woman should be treated to win her love and respect,
but can he accomplish that before his younger brother, Mik,
can claim her for his own?
