"Well-written and insightful mystery."
Lucy Stone, investigative reporter and mother of four, is
thrilled to receive a grant to attend a newspaper
conference in Boston. She envisions a week of no housework,
no problems and time spent luxuriating in the atmosphere of
a first-class hotel. Once in Boston, Lucy finds that the politics of big-time
newspaper interests color the conference atmosphere. When a
publishing mogul is found dead, Lucy's visions of a restful
week are replaced by a murder investigation. Balancing
family problems and murder are a strain on Lucy, but she
attacks all problems with her typical joie de vivre. This well-written mystery offers an insight into the hectic
newspaper world and the equally hectic world of family
life. Lucy never gives up on a story, or a family member,
as she confronts the problems of the modern world.
