"First book in new paranormal suspense trilogy is outstanding - a must-read!"
Private investigator Ross Marshall has picked a life away
from others. While he may help track down serial killers
and other criminals, he has a secret that if revealed would
find him being the one hunted. For several generations the
men in his family have been werewolves. He's now on the
trail of a killer who's been kidnapping women around the
country for years. Ross' life changes when Dr. Megan
Sheridan is called to his house to take blood samples and
finds that he's been shot. Megan went into lab research after she realized she
couldn't detach herself from her patients. When she finds
Ross weak and naked on his living room floor, she has to
help, even after he tries to shoot her while delirious. She
stays several days, taking care of him and waiting until
she can collect the blood samples she needs to find the
cure he tells her he needs. While together, Ross realizes
they're bonding, but he needs to have space. After Megan is
attacked at her lab, it becomes apparent that Ross has
another case to work on. This is the first book in Ms. York's new trilogy. I've read
her Harlequin Intrigues for over a year now, and I was not
disappointed by this longer title. All I can say is, bring
on number two. Since I read the sample chapter from it, the
wait will seem even longer. Even for those who do not like
paranormal, this is a great romantic suspense that fits
perfectly with the plot. A definite must-read.
