"Delightful romance with strong, passionate characters."
American heiress Sophia Wilson has come to London to marry
an English lord. Her family craves the respectability of
such a prestigious match. Sophia is just looking for
someone who will love her. James Langdon, the Duke of Wentworth, doesn't believe in
love. Raised by a cruel father and uncaring mother, he
considers emotions a sign of weakness. However, intrigued by the beautiful American and in need of
funds, he sets out to win Sophia's hand. Sophia quickly
falls for the sexy, charming man, but is dismayed and
frightened to find herself married to a cold stranger when
they reach James' estate. Can her love break through the
barriers around his heart, or will Sophia be trapped in a
loveless marriage forever? I really enjoyed this book. Sophia is a strong, passionate
woman. James is a complicated, passionate man. There are
sparks between the two from their first meeting, and their
physical relationship is very sensual. But Sophia's
struggle to understand and help James definitely lifts the
story above an ordinary romance.
