"Absolutely astonishing! Great romantic suspense."

Susan Barron has a knack for interior design. She recently completed the renovations on an old shoe factory building she inherited from her grandparents and was occupying part of it as her apartment and office. Now she needed a tenant for the other side of the building.

When John Huntington walked through her office door, the earth shook. He scared her, but maybe not in a frightening sense. He owned a top-notch security company and was a "retired" Navy Seal. Armed with complete references and other things she'd rather not think about, John seemed overwhelming, but someone to keep her safe in this shady part of town. So when a threat to her life has her calling John before the police, she doesn't question her actions. He's not her type...or is he?

Amazing! Never before have I been so on the edge of my seat reading a book, for both the suspense and the attraction between the characters. Although at first Susan and John seem like complete opposites, they have much more in common than they think. Susan's ability to get John to go past his exterior shell and see the man inside is amazing, and John teaches her that she has more inner strength than she believes. This book was absolutely astonishing. I can't wait to read more from Ms. Rice.

Summary
