"A Stand-Alone Sequel"
Formula one race-car driver Rick "Lucky" Hawkins, is
wealthy and temporarily without someone special in his
life. On his way to Phoenix to sign his new contracts,
Rick stops off in Texas to visit his newly married father.
During his visit, Rick meets and finds himself very
attracted his stepmother's twenty-eight-year-old cousin
Audra Jarrett. Audra too has feelings for Rick, but she is afraid of
starting a relationship with him. She has suffered through
many losses in her life and couldn't imagine having to pick
up the pieces if something happened to Rick. Then again
they don't call Rick "Lucky" for nothing. This is the sequel to Ms.Winters previous novel ANOTHER
MAN'S WIFE. With that in mind I thought I was going to
have a hard time reading this one, since I didn't the
pleasure of reading the first story. I was sadly mistaken
this was a very beautiful, heartwarming stand-alone story.
Rick and Audra were perfect for each other, both needed to
get over past pain and they did it together, I found myself
smiling often. I really enjoyed reading about their
newfound love. It was also nice to read about the rest of
the Hawkins family. I would love to know what becomes of
this wonderful family. If you are looking for a beautiful
love story to read this is the one for you, there is a
bonus to this one as well, there is more than one couple
for you to get to know and enjoy. This is a definite
keeper.
