REVIEW

"The sequel to ANOTHER MAN'S WIFE."

Racecar driver Rick (Lucky) Hawkins decides to visit his father and his stepmother in Texas before he has to travel to Arizona to sign new racing contracts. Rick knows that his dad worries about him every time he races. Honestly he's not really been happy racing for the past year but he doesn't know what else to do.

He buys a brand new BMW M-3 to make the trip. When he gets into Texas, he tries to find a radio station that doesn't just play country or hard rock. He finally comes upon a late night show that plays an eclectic mix of classical, country, soft rock and the female disc jockey, Red Jarrett, intersperses the show with her own composed music as well. Rick is entranced with the music right from the first.

When Rick finally gets to the Jarrett ranch, he meets his stepmother Pam's cousin Audra and he is instantly attracted but he knows that he'll be leaving soon. Audra has a broken leg from a car accident that left her date dead and she's been having nightmares for weeks. She's also an accomplished musician and she has red hair. Rick doesn't put two and two together for a while.

Then circumstances make a turn for the worse when Audra and Pam's Uncle David announces that he's had to sell the ranch to pay the debts. The three male cousins do not take kindly to this and when they find out that Pam's new husband has bought the ranch house so Pam can open up her long coveted bed and breakfast. things go from bad to worse. Can they get things all straightened out before someone gets hurt?

This intriguing story kept me riveted from start to finish. I could hardly wait to finish the book to find out how it would end and how things would turn out. Rebecca Winters told us Rick's brother Nate's story in the book ANOTHER MAN'S WIFE that was released in February.

WHAT HE WANTS.

Wealthy, womanless and temporarily at loose ends, Formula One race-car driver Rick Hawkins finds himself in Texas visiting his newly married father. In fact, SHE attracts him as no woman ever has.

WHAT SHE NEEDS.

While Audra is drawn to Rick, she's afraid of starting a relationship with him. She has suffered tragic losses in her life. So how could she allow herself to love a man with such a dangerous job?
