"A story of betrayal, growing up and family, that will have you turning the pages late into the night"
Cady Jordan receives a phone call from her mother telling
her that her grandmother needs her. Cady doesn't
hesitate, she sells her home and makes the move to her
grandmothers. She stops and buys a dog to make the trip
with her. Cady has a lot of hangups. She hates change, moving is
traumatic. She doesn't do well with people and really
doesn't have any close friends. She is about to blow all
her phobias out the window and start a new chapter in her
life. Now instead of thinking a thing to death, she is
doing only spontaneity! Spur of the moment, living on the
edge. Well, buying a dog, selling her home and moving in with her
grandmother is about all the spur of the moment Cady can
deal with right away. This is not an easy thing for Cady
to do. The town where her grandmother lives is the town
where she was injured when she was a child. If it hadn't
been for her grandmothers faith and love, Cady might never
walked again. A book filled with wonderful characters that will make you
laugh and shake your head. The humor only serves to make
the reader more aware of the mystery of Cady's accident
where she is injured and a boy died even more thought
provoking. Cady is determined to face all her fears and phobias. It
won't be easy and Cady isn't sure she really wants to
remember what happened that day so many years ago. But,
if she ever wants to be a whole person, she has to try. This is a different type of book that what we are use to
from Ms. Michaels. She has given us people that we can
love and laugh with in this book. A look at life in a
small town and what can happen when secrets are kept too
long.
