REVIEW

"A fun book to read!"

Hope Stevens finally sees the light and runs away from her scheming ex-fiancé Kenneth at her wedding. The final straw was his campaign button in her bouquet, for heavens sakes! She doesn't care what Kenneth or her father has to say! She hops into Delia's Catering Van and high- tails it out of there.

The next thing Hope knows is that a police car with sirens flashing is behind her and geese are in the road in front of her. She swerves to avoid the geese and hits a sign, a fence and finally comes to rest against a tree. Sheriff Clay Mitchell cannot believe it when he jerks on the van door and Hope tumbles out, voluminous wedding dress and all. She won't even tell him her name so he calls her Red. He thinks she's just a spoiled rotten brat who is used to getting her way, just like his ex-wife.

Clay hauls Red to jail but the next thing he knows is the town is rallying around her and what for? She's going to get her jollies and then leave when she gets bored. What Clay does is seriously underestimate Red though. She's had it with Washington, DC and wants to make a difference somewhere. This seems just the town to do it in. She's on her way to convincing the town. Now if she can just convince Clay.

This book was just a hoot to read. The quirky characters kept me turning pages all day long! Clay was such a controlling person but only because he wanted the best for his town. Hope or Red I should say just wanted to be out from under her father's and her ex-fiancé's controlling thumb. Then she runs into Clay and not only that she's seriously attracted to him! With the town's help though things turned out just fine! This was my kind of story! I say to Dianne Castell good job!
