REVIEW

"We don't choose love, it chooses us"

Luke DeMarco knew when he was 8 years old that Natalie Harrigan was the one for him. As he grew older, he became more certain of it. At 18, he left for college and now, ten years later, he's back to convince Natalie that they belong together. There's only one problem; when he was 8, she was 20.

After a failed marriage, Natalie buried herself in her work, determined to make something of her life even if there was no one to share it with. When the boy she raised as a younger brother returned to her life, she couldn't believe the changes ten years had brought. Gone was the boyish grin, the mischievous twinkle, and in its place was a virile, sexy man, who for some reason wanted her instead of a woman his own age.

Things become even more complicated when Luke winds up working for her and the attraction between them grows. Whereas Luke had always known Natalie was the one for him, he now has to convince her of that fact, while remaining perfectly professional at work.

TROUBLE OR NOTHING is a slightly different romance. Normally, the typical format is for the male character to be older then his heroine, but in Joanie MacNeil's story, the hero is 12 years younger than the love of his life. It was refreshing, not only to read a different take on romance, but also the way the writer presented her story. The emotions and thoughts of the characters were believable, as were the doubts, fears and the sexual tension and ultimate fulfillment.

Rated Soft R.

Summary

Men are trouble, and having a man in her life is not on Natalie Harrigan's agenda...for Natalie, the choice is simple... trouble...or nothing. Natalie would much rather focus on her career. The new appointment to the coveted postion of CEO is her number one priority. She intends to prove the naysayers wrong...she'll be the best CEO ever. But her younger brother's best friend has ideas of his own on how he'd like to fit into Natalie's life.

Luke DeMarco has always loved Natalie from the moment he first set eyes on her...when he was eight years old. Now, twenty years later, she's more woman than ever, and Luke's not too worried about the difference in their ages. Surely his gentle wooing will convince Natalie that age is no barrier to love. But will Natalie allow him to move from their Boardroom to her bedroom?
