REVIEW

"Is she sexy or is she sweet? Or is she two people!"

Identical twin sisters Ashley and Alexis have everything worked out. Shy sister Ashley writes romance novels under the name Lace Kincaid, and Alexis performs the guest appearances and deals with all the marketing and spotlight issues. It is the perfect plan, until "Lace" is to be awarded the prestigious Crystal Quill Award.

Alexis gets it into her head that Ashley really needs a man, and decides that reporter Rick Orlando is perfect to help her sweet sister awaken her sensual side.

Ashley isn't quite certain what to do. She finds herself falling for Rick, and needing to protect her secret, but also battling the urge to crawl out from behind her sister's shadow.

While she is trying to protect herself and her sister, Rick is getting mixed signals. Every time Alexis is Lace, he finds her annoying and a bit overbearing. But when Ashley shows up as Lace, he knows here is his destiny. Add into the mix The Sapphire Man and the rumors about him and "Lace" and it is no wonder Rick doesn't quit know where he stands. If only he knew "Lace's" secret ...

Linda Bleser's talent for weaving humor into a serious sensual romance is very evident with her tale A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN. I really enjoyed this book, and found that the added bonus of a second blooming romance only enhanced the storyline.

I did find myself wishing that one of the secondary characters could have found love. Who knows though, there may be a sequel, or at least a short story in the making. I certainly hope so.

Rated: Soft R.

Summary

Best-selling romance novelist Lace Kincaid is the darling of the romance industry. But Lace Kincaid has a secret. She doesn't really exist.

Ashley and her identical twin sister Alexis are the writing team behind the pseudonym. Ashley, the quiet and demure twin, writes the best-selling books, while Lexi handles marketing and promotion, as well as outrageously playing the diva role of "Lace Kincaid" at public events.

On the eve of receiving the prestigious Crystal Quill Award, their charade is about to come crashing down. While trying to keep the truth from handsome journalist Rick Orlando, Ashley and Lexi get caught up in a complicated deception that puts both their careers and love lives in jeopardy.
