"An interesting twist to this one!"
Ethan Ramsey visits his brother Travis in Dallas to
try to talk him into visiting their father and sister.
Their sister Molly just separated from her husband when she
found out he was having an affair with his much younger
receptionist. She's devastated as is their 17-year-old son
Cole. Travis is the only one who can generally make Molly
smile. Ethan watches Travis perform at a club and then
Travis talks Ethan into going to a strip club. There they
see a beautiful redhead but when Ethan looks into her eyes
he can tell that she's there against her will. The strange
thing is it seems as if she's carefully guarded. The next day Travis has to check out a construction
job in Forth Worth so he and Ethan go to breakfast at a
little café. Once they get there they see the same redhead
there eating breakfast. Travis makes a fool of himself
trying to flirt with her but she's very standoffish. Ethan
and Travis think maybe she doesn't want people to know
she's stripping. Little do they know how wrong they can be
about this situation. Before they leave though Ethan gives
this woman his card and tells her he will help her if he
can. Serena Farrell cannot believe that two men had the
audacity to affront her about seeing her stripping at a
nightclub in Dallas especially since she's a staid upright
schoolteacher, for heavens sakes. Still she's very curious
about this woman who looks enough like her for her to be
mistaken for her. The more she thinks about this the more
she feels she must investigate this and see what it's all
about so she calls Ethan and asks him to investigate but
only for two days as she and her grandmother who has
expensive tastes cannot afford any more than that. Ethan agrees to take the case but it's much more
than he ever could begin to imagine. Once he starts
investigating he realizes it will take more than two days
but he is reluctant to let this case go. There's just
something about the case and about Serena that he is drawn
to. This book certainly captured and held my attention
throughout the entire story. I just cannot imagine how
identical twins would feel if they were torn apart from
birth and found out years later that they were twins. It
certainly made for quite an emotional read. I'm just sorry
to say that I'll have to wait until next year to read
Serena's sister Sarah's story!

SummaryThey say everyone has a double . . .
According to private investigator Ethan Ramsey, Serena
Farrell's double is a stripper working in a Dallas
nightclub.
Serena doesn't believe itbut she can't help
wondering. After all, her mother died when she was an
infant and she's been raised by wealthy grandparents who
refused to discuss the past. So she knows next to nothing
about her parents.
Could she possibly have a sister? A twin?
She decides to hire Ethan to find out who this other woman
is. That fateful decision leads to some shocking
revelations about Serena's family-and about her look-
alike, Sarah Welch. It also leads Serena into Ethan's
arms . . . and into his heart.
