"Suspenseful addition to the "Raising Cane" series."
Noelani Hana has always known she's the illegitimate child
of Louisiana cane grower Duke Fontaine. Born and raised in
Hawaii, Noelani is independent of the wealthy Fontaines,
wanting nothing to do with their prestige and money. When
Duke and his wife are killed, Noelani is summoned to Baton
Rouge for the reading of her father's will. Greeted with curiosity and sometimes open hostility,
Noelani tries to fit in with her new "family" in an attempt
to band together with her siblings and save the family
business. Then she can cash-out and return home to Hawaii.
Romance blossoms with Adam Ross, who's been hired by
Noelani's sister to restore the family home. As accidents
plague the Fontaines, it becomes apparent someone is
working at cross purposes to not only destroy the precious
cane crop, but destroy the family as well. An enjoyable, suspenseful read from a "Super" author.

magnate Duke Fontaineand the secret sister of his

poor. Two, she discovers that they apparently have an
enemy willing to sabotage Bellefontaine, and as Noelani is
now a member of the family, she, too, becomes a target.
