REVIEW

"Fabulous continuing saga!"

Newlyweds, Chase and Jenny settle into a comfortable existence on the Lynch ranch. They are trying to put their past behind them and begin anew as one. They have every thing and everyone they need right there at home. Not only Jenny's twin brother,Jamie but everyone that lives at the ranch is like family. Jamie, too, has finally found the peace and happiness he so richly deserved. He has met Sarah who knows she loves the man beyond the scarred face.

As Jenny is trying to put her nightmares behind her they just won't go way. They plague her thoughts night and day. Chase and Jamie reassure her that they will let nothing happen as they vow to keep one another safe. But, their happiness is far too short as a man from their past shows up in their town and forever changes their lives.

Chase goes after the man. He is gone for months tracking him and planning his revenge. Little of the old Chase is left. In his place becomes a man hell bent on vengence. He knows that his leaving has an impact on his relationship with those that love him but he cannot let this go. When he finally does return he is injured and close to death. As he mends physically it does little to mend his soul. Will he ever be able to let those close to him back into his heart?

The secondary characters come out in full force to round out this indepth saga. We revist Jason, Caleb, Zane and Jake. As we meet them once again we get a better feel of who they really are, upclose and personal. Ranch foreman, Ty and Cat,the owner's daughter, are together but have issues in their relationship that have to be solved. Grace, the ranch cook, may have finally found her one true love with Texas Ranger, Cole Larrimore. Of course,we meet some new villians as well. All these characters come together to portray the realistic stuggles faced by the men and women in the historic west.

WIND OF THE WOLF is book two in the continuing saga by Cindy Holby. However, this book stands alone quite well as the author does a successful job of recapping the first book. Ms. Holby writes with a style all her own. She is not afraid to show the hardships while surrounding the storyline with unconditional love. This is definitely an auto buy!
