"Bewitching!"

1300's, Scotland

Connor MacCloud returns home to Inverness, Scotland after years on the Crusades to find his world in total chaos. His uncle, Simon, has seized control of Connor's lands and his castle. After a fierce but losing battle to reclaim his property, Connor finds most of his men dead or wounded and his close friend, Douglas, on death's doorstep. The people of Inverness live in fear of Simon but Connor does not have the manpower to fight back anymore. Legend has it that the only one who can help dissolve the problem and restore peace is a woman known as the "Peacemaker". Though he has no wish to associate himself with a woman who practices the forbidden arts, Connor promises his dying friend he will seek out the Peacemaker and bring her back - willingly.

In present day Seattle, Eilan Dougan, an empath, is minding her parents' antique store, A Dance Through Time while they are away on vacation in Great Britain. In college Eilan was known as the Peacemaker, and though she always wants to help those who seem unhappy, she shies away from a lot of contact with people for the strength of her powers can become very overwhelming. When a man brandishing a sword, dressed in a bloodstained kilt suddenly appears in the middle of the antique store, insisting she must come with him willingly, Eilan is convinced he's mad! However, she can't forget him and soon learns his story and the compelling reason he has traveled through time to seek her help.
