REVIEW

"Can love overcome family feuds and conflicting loyalties?"

The Warfields and Deverauxs has been enemies for decades.

Chance, a Deveraux, and Tessa, a Warfield, have always had a special bond between them, but due to the feud existing between their families, they kept their distance from each other. Now, years later, they have to get married for six months to allow Chance to inherit from his grandfather.

Tessa has always tried to hide her true feelings for Chance in respect for her grandmother, but now that she gets the opportunity to fulfill one of her deepest dream, she will take the chance. Tessa is confronted with family loyalty and torn between her husband and her grandmother. Will she make the good choice?

Chance has always thought to have been a failure for his grandfather, so he is very surprised to know the conditions of the will! He will marry Tessa but only for six months, before each of them gets hurt. He knows the hate between their grandmothers could be very destructive and wants to spare Tessa.

LIES OF THE HEART from Laurie LeClair is more a romantic book that a sensual book but this was an enjoyable read. This is the story between two families who hate each other but neither the hero nor heroine knows why. The truth is known only at the end of the book.
