"Will they be able to keep their hands off each other?"
England, 1810:
Arlie's father has just died. She is 17 and is on her way
to meet her new guardian -- Dominic Santrell, living in
London, who has a reputation for being a womanizer. Dominic Santrell is baffled as to why Arlie's father left
her in his custody. He is a confirmed bachelor with a
reputation of rake. He must find her a husband, and
quickly. He finds her too beautiful for his own sake and
hers as well. But will they be able to keep their hands off each other? I usually like books about the regency period. Julia
Templeton describes very well the hypocrisy of the Ton:
only appearances are important. But I felt very
uncomfortable with the characters. I think they were both
selfish, thinking only about their pleasures and not about
the consequences. Reviewed by Céline Ageneau for Sensual Romance.

SummaryRochford Manor, outside London, 1810:
When her dying father entrusts her to the care of Dominic
Santrell, one of London's most infamous rakes, Arlie
Whitman is thrust into a world of elegance and privilege
she had never imagined. But her initiation into society is
nowhere near as frightening as the powerful desire she
feels for Dominic himself. The dark and dashing earl claims
that she needs a husband, but Arlie knows she needs only
Dominic.
Dominic had vowed never to marry. In his experience, love
was, at best, an evening's pleasure. Yet the parade of
young men courting his ward is unbearable. Arlie's innocent
beauty haunts his dreams. The passion they share cannot be
denied...
But desire can be dangerous.
