"Fantastic followup to The Ways of Grace."
Lacey Wright moves to El Paso, determined after years of
moving around that this will be the final stop for her and
her 15-year-old daughter. Kicked out of home because of a
teenage pregnancy, Lacey's gone from job to job, doing any
menial task to support her daughter. Managing Bobby's
Place, a sports bar owned by local legend Bobby McIntyre,
is a dream come true. Football star Bobby McIntyre returns to Texas to recover
from a concussion and a knee injury. At 35, he knows he's
near the end of his career, but he's determined to return
to the game and finish out the season. When he finds the
prim and proper Lacey managing his bar, he's ready to fire
her on the spot. The fact that she insisted on a contract
is all that saves her job. Despite their many differences, Lacey and Bobby find
themselves drawn to one another. They discover that, for
very different reasons, they each grew up learning not to
trust and to hide their real selves from the world. With
each other, Lacey and Bobby open up and begin to heal. Ms. Lee scores again with this fantastic follow-up to The
Ways of Grace. She has a gift for creating believable
situations and sympathetic characters. I particularly
enjoyed the secondary romance in the story between Lacey's
daughter and a James Dean-esque young man. It's poignantly
sweet and shows the reader what Lacey should have had as a
teenager, but missed out on by becoming pregnant. This is a
strong character-driven romance that was a pure pleasure to
read. I finished it in one sitting!

Nights turn hot when a sexy bad boy arrives in town . . .
LOOKING FOR LACEY
SummaryIN THE GAME OF SEDUCTION,THIS FOOTBALL LEGEND WILL ACCEPT
NOTHING LESS THAN TOTAL SURRENDER.
When prim and proper Lacey Wright decided to start a new
life, she never dreamed she'd be managing a sports bar.Â
But she is determined to make it work. The only thing
standing in the way is her recklessly charming new boss--a
man she finds stubbornly infuriating . . . and completely
irresistible.
There isn't a woman in all of Texas who can resist the
sensually confident man that embodies bad boy Bobby
McIntyre--no one, that is, except the prissy new bar
manager who gets his blood pumping. She's not interested
in his money orhis fame, and she sees through the macho act
he shows the world. But when the tables are turned and
it's Lacey who demands total surrender, can Bobby Mac
afford
the high stakes in a game of true love?
