"Wonderful addition to this futuristic series!"
Celie Cameron gave up her smuggling career when she
immigrated to the new quadrant and decided to fly the
straight and narrow as a regular freighter captain in her
peacefully boring new home. But, as soon as she lands at
the Joba settlement for a routine delivery, her newly
forged existence begins to go haywire. Not only does she
discover that the daughter of her friends, Nessa and Chase
McKnight, has stowed away on her ship, but a routine
delivery leads to a firefight that causes her to abandon
her ship. Thrown in with Max Rior and Rurick, one of whom is an
android, Celie and her stowaway, Raven, become involved in
unraveling a dastardly plot that goes to the highest levels
of the government of the Verante Quadrant. And Celie
becomes dangerously attracted to Rurick, though she's sworn
that she'll never have a relationship with a man. I loved revisiting Nessa and Chase from Shielder, Jarek san
Ranul and Eirene from Shamara, and Moriah and Sabine from
Shadower. Shadow Crossing is another gem to add to this
beautiful diadem of stories. I particularly enjoyed the
interactions and subplots of the secondary characters. I
adored this book and can hardly wait for the next story in
this wonderful series.

SummaryEx-smuggler Celie Cameron meets her match in a mysterious

deception into which Rurick throws her, but her attraction
to him is another matter entirely. Forced together by
circumstance, Celie and Rurick blaze across the galaxy,
engaged in the oldest combat of all - the battle of the
sexes.
