REVIEW

"So hot I had to fan myself during the northeast blizzard!"

Becka Landon finally has the job she's dreamed of, athletic therapist of a minor league baseball team, the Lowell Weavers. It has taken some time, but she's managed to convince the players (mostly just out of high school) that although her job may be "hands-on", she is "hands-off". Then along comes Mace Duvall, former major league player, to help as batting coach. Sparks fly from the moment they meet, but Becka also knows about his playboy reputation. She vows to stay away from him.

Mace has other ideas. At first he didn't want the job as batting coach, but after meeting Becka he's decided to stay. He didn't want to be around the game that he loves, but can't play anymore. That choice was taken from him the night an irresponsible driver of a semi broadsided him and put him in the hospital for months. After many surgeries and lengthy rehabilitation, he seemed to recover physically. Mentally he would never be the same. His passion for life was gone. Until he met Becka.

Wow! This book was so hot I actually had to fan myself during the northeast blizzard! I will never look at batting cages the same way again.

This is the first in the "Under The Covers" trilogy by Kristin Hardy, following up with AS BAD AS CAN BE in May, and SLIPPERY WHEN WET in July.

NOTE: Ms. Hardy's first book, MY SEXIEST MISTAKE (Blaze #44 -- which was also great, BTW), has characters that return in this book, but it is not necessary to read it first to enjoy this one.

SEXUAL CONTENT: Hard R.

She's out to even the score...he's out to score, period.

It's one to nothing and team therapist Becka Landon is in over her head. She's determined not to get distracted by any man, especially a playboy like gorgeous former baseball champ Mace Duvall. But Mace is looking for a new challenge in his life, and the answer might just be Becka.

Summary

Becka has just dumped her louse of a boyfriend and gotten her dream job as the trainer/therapist for a professional sports team. Granted, it's only the Lowell Spinners minor league baseball team, but it's a start. She's finished with settling when it comes to relationships and figures it's time for focus on her career and herself for a while.

Hunky Mace Duvall was gorgeous enough to make the Most Beautiful People list and talented enough to be an All- Star player until an auto accident cut him down in his prime. A year later, when he arrives at Lowell for his first assignment as a batting instructor, he's trying to figure out how to move on with his life. Mace's undeserved reputation as a playboy precedes him, and Becka wants nothing to do with him. But Mace has decided to live for today and earn that playboy reputation, starting with the delectable Becka.
