"A chaming romance"
Jackie Brady manages to eat based on what she makes as a
Zing-O-Gram girl even while she dreams of one day composing
children's music. Perhaps her head is in the clouds, but
Jackie attends the wrong party dressed in a cat costume
held together by duct tape. Jackie sings Happy Birthday
with such a sexual overtone that it is a wonder that the
recipient Greg De Costa does not have cardiac arrest. Greg feels the passion that he wants to loosen and cannot
resist a kiss that stuns both of them. However, when she
lands on her two feet, Jackie realizes that Greg is the
manager who will interview her tomorrow for a job. He
simply believes he met a stripper. She plans to be
professional that is musically, but Greg once he realizes
she is serious about music wants more. As a duet they emit
heat that turns into a fiery concerto. The romance is fun as readers observe Greg struggle to
overcome his first impressions caused by the initial
misunderstanding. However, both act more like teens than
adults so that the audience wonders whether this couple
should form a duet, as someone needs to be the lead
singer. Still fans of lighthearted contemporary infernos
will alternate between amusement and fervor as this author
rocks the music world. Harriet Klausner
