After her father was killed over a gambling debt, Rebecca took it upon herself to captain his ship to ensure delivery of cargo to Boston harbor. When a group of pirates takes over the ship, she tries to bargain with the pirate captain in exchange for the safety of her companion and crew. But the captain, Christoph, is not satisfied with the cargo or the family heirloom diamond necklace that Rebecca offers him. He wants Rebecca. She reluctantly agrees, sacrificing her virtue for the safety of her people. But she didn't think she would see him again in Boston.

Kit Tunstall has crafted a wonderful tale with deep emotions and sensuality. The feisty, strong heroine combined with a hero with a strong sense of honor makes this page-turner a delightful read.

Summary

Lady Rebecca Stanhope thumbs her nose at society dictates in regards to finding a suitable husband and instead steps in for her father to deliver a shipment to the Colonies after he is killed over a gaming debt. When pirates overtake their ship, Rebecca makes a bargain with their captain. The pirate stipulates that as well as cooperation from the crew, the entire cargo and a costly diamond necklace, Rebecca must surrender her virtue to him too...
