"Funny debut mystery!"
Emily Andrew accompanies her grandmother on a senior's tour
of Switzerland. She should be bored out of her skull, but
someone always needs rescuing. When the tour escort is
murdered, it gets really interesting. Emily jumps in Lake
Geneva and sundry other bodies of water rescuing toupees,
artificial limbs and bodies. When one of the tour members
dies in Germany, she keeps his body company in the back of
the bus on the return trip to Switzerland. Emily is on the ball and on Inspector Etienne's list.
Etienne, sartorially elegant in his black suit and
turtleneck, is Emily's dream come true and, wonder of
wonders, the feeling is mutual.. Once I got past the metaphors and similes in the first
chapter, I really started to enjoy this mystery. I could
have done without some of the conversations, but I stuck
with it and was rewarded with a compelling heroine, an
intriguing hero and a great scenic tour. I'm impatiently
looking forward to the next book by this new author.
