"Another hilarious Viking time-travel."
Magnus Ericsson is a single father raising 11 children
alone in A.D. 999 in the Norselands. His brood, from a
variety of encounters that have either ended in lack of
interest, divorce or death, range in age from a few months
to late teens. Determined not to have any more children,
Magnus takes a vow of celibacy and decides to embark on an
adventure, taking all but his eldest, recently married
daughter, with him. Their journey goes along well enough
until their ship is enveloped by a mysterious fog. Angela Abruzzi is living in current-day Hollywood. She
works hard at her job, funneling all of her extra cash into
the family vineyard, Blue Dragon. Recent events have forced
the vineyard to stop wine production, and it's all the
family can do to keep the business. Angela's latest
moneymaking venture is to have a Hollywood movie about
Vikings filmed at Blue Dragon. A novena spoken by Angela's grandmother, asking for a man
for her granddaughter, brings the ship carrying Magnus and
his family hurtling through time to the mysterious land of
Holly and Wood in the year 2003. Magnus is mistaken for an
actor, and Angela is persuaded to keep an eye on the Viking
until arrangements can be made to have him star in the
upcoming movie. Coping with the oddities in the strange land is nothing
compared to the challenge Angela gives Magnus and his vow
of celibacy, a vow that's soon forgotten. The couple's
lives become further entwined when the Ericsson brood moves
to Blue Dragon. Someone is out to sabotage the family
business, and Magnus is determined to find the culprit and
keep his lady safe. But first, he must convince Angela
that she's his destiny. Ms. Hill's third book in her Viking series is a winner! The
story stands well on its own, so the reader won't have to
read the first two before reading The Very Virile Viking
(although you're going to want to read them!). This
author's style and humor effortlessly draw the reader into
the worlds she creates. I laughed out loud more than once
at the descriptions of the world from the perspective of a
thousands-year-old Viking.

SummaryMagnus is a 10th century Viking farmer.
Angela is a modern-day vineyard owner.
He has eleven bothersome children.
She yearns for just one child.
He takes a vow of celibacy...
Even though he is a very virile man
Uh-oh!
Let the Viking laughter begin!
Magnus Ericsson is a simple man. He loves the smell of
fresh-turned dirt after springtime plowing. He loves the
feel of a soft woman under him in the bed furs..when
engaged in a different type of plowing. He loves the heft
of a good sword in his fighting arm.
But, Holy Thor, what he does not relish is the bothersome
brood of children he's been saddled with. Or the
mysterious happenstance that strands him and his longship
full of maddening offspring in a strange new land -- the
kingdom of Holly Wood. Here is a place where the
blazing sun seems to bake his already befuddled brain,
where the folks think he is an act-whore (whatever
that is), and the woman of his dreams -- a winemaker of
all
things -- fails to accept that he is her soul mate...a man
of exceptional talents, not to mention...A VERY VIRILE
VIKING.
