REVIEW

"Off-beat 'Chick Lit' - a really fun read!"

Kennedy Smith has a past - she had a child with her sexy, substance-addicted lover; an affair with her sexy, womanizing boss; and then married stable, comfortable Frank, the lawyer. They moved out of her dangerous New York neighborhood and into the cozy suburb of Homewood, where Kennedy moulders for many years, becoming the quintessential suburban mom.

Then, 10 years later, hubby Frank leaves her for another woman, and also leaves his career as a lawyer to become a yoga instructor. Kennedy suddenly has to cope with being single again. Determined to regain the cool, single-mom- ness she had pre-Frank, Kennedy goes into the city and visits her old life...and her ex-boss and super hot one- night-stand, Declan McGlynn.

Declan and Kennedy pretty much take up where they left off, but they're 10 years older and quite a bit wiser. Will they make a go of it this time? Hard to say, especially when Kennedy's eldest daughter Maya wants to find her long- absent biological father, the house she moved herself and her children into to save money turns out to be a money pit, and Declan is hiding a rather important little something about himself.

Fun and irrepressibly "hip," this story is a treat, filled with funny offbeat characters doing their best to keep from going insane in realistic, if not eerily familiar, situations. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and think that anyone who enjoys contemporary romance and Chick Lit will, too.
