"Love's healing power proves triumphant"
Brianna Cameron feels no sorrow upon hearing her husband is
dead. His brutal betrayal of her, her family and her clan
has left her leery of trusting her judgement when it comes
to men, especially handsome ones. Brianna is fine,
emotionally strong enough to leave the safety of her
brother's keep and return to her own home. While journeying
there, Brianna's carriage plunges off a cliff, leaving her
seriously injured. She's rescued by a man whose gentle
touch is offset by the horrible visage he presents. Royce meant to hide from the world until his latest battle
scars could heal, but Brianna's wounds require his
immediate attention. Royce also carries emotional scars,
just as Brianna does. Together they heal each other and
form a bond, despite their pasts. However, Royce is not
totally honest with Brianna, and his deception as to his
true identity could destroy her growing love for him. This is a tender love story about love's healing power and
its ability to triumph over the darkest of memories. Ms.
Fletcher writes a wonderful romance that leaves you with a
good feeling. If you've read and liked her earlier novels,
you'll certainly enjoy this one.
